Sharp Introduces LX Series of LED AQUOS

On September 29, 2009, Sharp Corporation introduced the new LX Series of LED AQUOS LCD TVs at a press conference in Tokyo.

Coming on the verge of 2010, the 10th anniversary of the first AQUOS LCD TVs, this series employs a newly developed LCD panel and LED backlight system. The LX Series will come in four models available from November 10, 2009.

The LX Series achieves improved image quality (TV contrast*1 of 2,000,000:1), thanks to a new LCD panel that incorporates Sharp's newly developed UV2A*2 photo-alignment technology and an LED backlight. This combination also gives the LX Series high energy efficiency that results in the industry's lowest level of energy consumption*3.
