2007 ES-HG92G Ag+ Front-Loading Washer/Dryer

Sharp introduced a front-loading drum-type washer/dryer equipped for the first time with both Sharp's proprietary Plasmacluster Ion technology as well as an electrolytic Ag+ (silver) ion coating system that continuously eliminates bacteria*1, odors and static electricity*2 in laundered items. Simply put clothing that is difficult to clean at home such as a business suit into the drum (washer drum) without adding water, and a Warm Air Plasmacluster Ion Treatment will quickly deodorize the item, eliminating approximately 90% of odors*3 such as clinging tobacco smoke within roughly 10 minutes.

Test method: Using a six-level odor intensity representation system, evaluate the product's effectiveness in deodorizing a piece of fabric impregnated with tobacco smoke odor. Test certification report no. 070342-2. Odor intensity of test sample was initially 4.0, and was reduced to 3.0 after 10 minutes (equivalent to removing 90% of odor) and to 1.8 after 30 minutes (equivalent to removing more than 99% of odor). Conversion to removal efficiencies (percentages) by Sharp was based on data in the certification report.
