Sharp Appliances (Thailand) Ltd. (SATL), Sharp's manufacturing base in Thailand, recently received a letter of appreciation from the Thai Red Cross Society for SATL's ongoing blood donation activities.

Thailand has a chronic shortage of blood for transfusion. To address this problem, SATL has been holding blood drives since 2003. At the March 6, 2009 event, 138 employees took part, raising the total number of participants to more than 2,000.

With each event successfully raising employee awareness about the need to contribute to society, SATL will keep up its efforts to donate blood.
