On January 10th, Sharp Corporation of New Zealand Ltd. (SCNZ) acquired ISO14001* certification.

With support from its parent company, Sharp Corporation of Australia Pty. Ltd. (SCA), SCNZ implemented an environmental management system that focuses on recycling, reduction of paper usage, and efficient use of water. At the third-party audit held on January 8, SCNZ was praised for the quality of the work that they were able to achieve in the short time since the promotion team was organized.

With the success of SCNZ, the Sharp Group has met its fiscal 2007 goal of obtaining ISO14001 certification for all of its domestic and overseas non-production bases (excluding bases with fewer than 30 employees).
