To realize Sharp's Business Philosophy and Business Creed, which represent the roots and the core of its CSR, the company has established the Sharp Group Charter of Corporate Behavior and the Sharp Code of Conduct: the principles of Sharp's corporate behavior and the standards of conduct for all directors and employees.
It is the Sharp's belief that it can fulfill CSR by carrying out all its business activities based on having every director and employee of the Sharp Group fully understand and abide by the principles and standards stipulated in the charter and the code.

- [ Area A ]
- Area A covers the most fundamental social responsibilities that a company must minimally fulfill as a member of society.
- [ Area B (A + B) ]
- Area B includes Area A but also covers the general CSR aims, as set forth in guidelines and other formats, that are similarly targeted by all companies.
- [ Area C (A + B + C) ]
-
Area C includes Areas A and B but also covers Sharp's proprietary (one-of-a-kind) CSR
activities that have grown out of its corporate principles.
Sharp firmly believes that taking action in Area C -after total implementation of its aims in Areas A and B- will bring its distinctive CSR practices into play. For this reason, Sharp will further enhance its efforts in Area C.

Sharp has developed various measures in Japan from three perspectives, to firmly establish CSR practices (see figure below): providing training and information, providing avenues for participation, and evaluating and improving motivation.
A "CSR Awareness Survey" is also conducted with a questionnaire e-mailed to randomly selected employees every six months, with the results of that research being used to plan and introduce new measures. Sharp is also planning to further develop and promote measures at its overseas bases.

In practicing CSR, Sharp regards BRM to minimize, optimize and managing business risks as an important field.
To promote BRM, Sharp has identified expected risks on a company-wide basis and classified more than 100 particularly important risk items into five fields. Sharp then created the Specific Risk Control Manual, which systemize measures for minimizing and optimizing each such risk, necessary training, etc.
Sharp reviews the Specific Risk Control Manual from time to time, adding new risks as needed in line with changes in society.
