In March 2006, Sharp Japan started the Intranet site which aims to bring out the very best in all employees-men and women-by helping them balance work and life, and by offering courses for personal and career improvement.

The Equal Opportunity and Life and Work Balance Information site contains a guidebook entitled "Balancing Work, Childbirth and Childcare." This guide informs employees of the various support systems Sharp Japan has available for balancing work and family. It explains how to apply for them, as well as the ins and outs of government paperwork related to childbirth and childcare.
