Recycling Home appliances
(four kinds)
t Amount of used home appliances (four kinds) recycled into new home appliances
Copiers Amount of recycled copiers
PCs Amount of recycled PCs
Amount of closed-loop material recycling of plastics Amount of closed-loop material recycling of plastics
OUTPUT CO2 emissions 10,000 t-CO2 Σ[Electricity purchased annually x CO2 emission intensity * + annual consumption of each fuel x CO2 emission intensity for each *]
: <Electricity>
* Japan
Based on the values officially announced by the Federation of Electric Power Companies of Japan and the Guidelines for Calculation Method of Greenhouse Gas Emissions published by the Ministry of the Environment
Fiscal 2005: 0.421 (t-CO2/MWh) / fiscal 2004: 0.421 (t-CO2/MWh) / fiscal 2003: 0.436 (t-CO2/MWh) / fiscal 2002: 0.407 (t-CO2/MWh) / fiscal 2001: 0.379 (t-CO2/MWh)
Overseas
Using the coefficient of each country from the Report Estimating Units of CO2 Emissions by the Power Generation Department of All Countries that was compiled by the Japan Electrical Manufacturers' Association (March 2002)
<Other>
Based on the values officially announced by the Federation of Electric Power Companies of Japan and the Guidelines for Calculation Method of Greenhouse Gas Emissions published by the Ministry of the Environment
