To further promote environmentally conscious manufacturing, we have been asking you for a description of environmental impact substances in the specification sheets for newly employed parts and materials used since October 2003. As you will see from the download materials, we have recently revised the contents.
You, all the suppliers, are currently required to submit "Report on Environmental Impact Substances Contained in Parts and Materials" when you submit specifications for the newly adopted parts/materials; however, from now on, you are required to submit the set of "Report on Environmental Impact Substances Contained in Parts and Materials" and "Analysis Data" as an evidence.
We would be grateful for your understanding and your cooperation in our efforts to preserve the global environment.

1. Description of environmental impact substances in specification sheets

You are required to submit the set of "Report on Environmental Impact Substances Contained in Parts and Materials" and "Analysis Data" to the final page of your specification sheet when sending to Sharp.
Please download the "Report on Environmental Impact Substances Contained in Parts and Materials [Sheets A and B]", fill them out. An analysis data which satisfies the requirement mentioned below^(*) is basic way; however, an alternative document (such as a composition table from a raw material maker) is acceptable if it can be used for verifying RoHS conformance.

(*)Requirement for Analysis Data:
For each of component, the measured position, the actually measured data of RoHS object substances(lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, poly brominated biphenyls, poly brominated diphenyl ethers), and the measuring agency must be stated. For the part/material that is judged as EU RoHS exemption, its reason must be described.

2. Subject parts and materials

These are all new parts and materials that are supplied to Sharp. Although molded parts, steel plates, etc. are included, packaging materials used when supplying these parts and materials are not included.
However, packaging materials for packaging products from Sharp for service are included.
